Covisint announces expansion into Latin America
e-business company selected as service provider to deliver Covisint procurement technology and services to automakers, suppliersRio de Janeiro, Brazil - March 24, 2003 -- Covisint, the global independent e-business service provider for the automotive industry, today announced the selection of Webb Negócios Online as its e-commerce service provider in Latin America. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Webb Negócios Online will act as the e-commerce service provider in Latin America for Covisint, the world's largest provider of B2B solutions for the automotive industry. As the service provider, Webb will work with Covisint to jointly bring to Latin America the same technologies and services that already provide value to many of the world's largest automotive companies by enabling them to save money and time.
Covisint has been providing auction services on a limited basis in Latin America to General Motors, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan and Renault. According to Paul, the company's decision to expand is based on our growing customer demand and new market opportunities. "Building upon the early success Covisint has realized in Latin America, our two companies will work to expand Covisint membership, customize the delivery of its services, and provide increased value to our customers in the region" said Paul. Webb is the service provider for a number of other e-commerce companies, including Transora (CPG) and the Rubbernetwork (Rubber). "The company will leverage the success that they have experienced in these other industries to meet the unique needs of the Latin American automotive industry" said Luis Henrique Guimaraes, of Webb Negócios Online. Under the agreement, Webb will provide local sales, professional services delivery and first-tier customer service.
